How do Boss Carries actually work?
I may not be a new player by any stretch, but during my League preparation I realized that I actually never made use of boss carry services. Rather, I'd just do the bosses myself when I was strong enough (which could take a while, since I'm a casual+)
Since I probably want to league start with a pure speed mapping build, I'd need to enlist a boss carry (from TFT or wherever) as soon as possible.
How does this actually work? What should I be aware of? What do I have to do mechanically (like: do I need to be in the arena when the boss dies? Do I need to hit the boss for it to count?)
I know how all the bosses work and farmed them myself, but I never carried, nor was carried, so sorry for the stupid questions :)

Maven and Uber Elder "Voidstone Service" carries are the ones you are most likely to care about early.
Normally here the carry gets the boss to ~5% then intentionally dies, prepares a gem with Culling Strike, then recruits the other players telling them "do not enter until told, once you enter, do not move"
Then they say "all enter do not move", wait 5 sec, then go back in themselves and kill the boss in one hit. Players then break their grace period and loot the voidstone.
Other services have their own nuances.
That is enlightening, thank you very much for the details.
btw: I appreciate your youtube content, keep it up!
Or just do the boss normally and then tell everyone to pile in at the last moment, no need to die and burn another portal.
Yep, if you're comfortable standing around not dpsing you can just stay in. Get an extra portal per fragment that way, but you've gotta either have them in your party longer or invite people while in the boss fight which can be freaky for some people.
