Which lakes allow your own inflatable boat?

Help

I just bought a boat (intex excursion 4) for going köningsee but it turns out that we cant bring our own boat. Then we searched for other lakes and found out that personal inflatable boats are prohibited in some other lakes as well. So are there any lists or lake suggestions?

This is the right reply. Königssee is part of Germany’s largest national park. Only a few permits for boats there. That applies to some other lakes as well, the Osterseen are such an instant. Starnberger, Ammersee should be largely fine. However, I don’t know about the size of your boat. Might be that for an inflatable titanic, other restrictions might apply.

Not to knitpick but in this case (unless typo) the word to use is “instance” instead of “instant”.

Instance refers to a specific situation, usually already referred to: “the Osterseen are such an instance”. “Example” would be another word often used.

“Instant” is typically only used when talking about the length of time: eg “i need X done right this instant”.

Your English is very good. My intention was that you would be able to avoid such a mix up in the future. Apologies if it didn’t come across as intended!

I recommend rafting down the isar

my company did that a week ago with one of the log rafts. was great fun (again) and i once again didn't use nearly enough sunscreen for the 7 hours of rafting.

I never did the log raft but I’m sure it’s a lot of fun. I can recommend the tour from Bad Tölz to Wolfratshausen … the Isar there is more “wild” and natural …. But it’s also a long trip (about 7 hours I think)… and you should definitely not forget the sunscreen 😉

Oh i definitely want to do that as well. A couple of colleagues /friends asked me to acompany them the next time they're rafting down the river. my boss always kajaks down the loisach and really seems to love it there. So maybe we're going there.
And i think i'll bathe myself in a vat of Sunscreen...just to make sure i got enough.

Please choose other rivers like Amper. Isar is too wild and dangerous for that, every year some people die by rafting the Isar.

depends a lot on the current

Seriously? People go down that river on Stand-Up-Paddles. People also die swimming in Starnberger-See. I mean sure you can die going down the Isar but you can also die walking down the street… Sure it’s a wild river and you should be careful but it’s not like the colorado river or something

People go down that river every day. I have done it myself several times… I didn’t say you should get drunk and than do it…. Fortunately it’s a free country and not everything is prohibited

Interesting, I would never had thought that it would be prohibited.

Do you know if it is strictly a safety concern? (While doing your research)

Has nothing to do with safety. Rather it is a rule to protect local ecosystems in nature reserves as other comments have pointed out is the case with Königssee

Makes sense, thanks for the clarification

At least we try to preserve nature sometimes...

You can go with everything which doesn't have a gasoline engine on the Chiemsee (together with the 50k people who had the same idea).

I have the excursion 5 👍 I really like the Eibsee, otherwise Ammersee and Starnberger See or down the Isar from Wolfratshausen

So are there any lists

Put the name of the lake into Google Pictures and look for boats in the results.

I think at Feringasee is allowed.

Chiemsee. No problem on the north shore at all. I always bring my inflatable unicorn.
