How to set up OBS and ACT to save replays automatically.
Okay so, you need 3/4 things, ACT, Triggernometry (ACT plugin here), and OBS (and the websocket plugin until next OBS version.)
First of all you need OBS set up with the replay (for however long you want) and have that rolling. The replay buffer will only ever take as much space/time as you tell it to, I personally do 20 minutes so I can save runs, which means a bit extra on wipes, but I clean the folder every week or so.
Second (and soon to be easier when it's packaged with OBS) you need to set up the OBS websocket plugin that lets you send commands to OBS.
Finally you need to set up Triggernometry to have a trigger that sends the command to "Save Replay" in OBS when it detects a wipe (the onWipe I have covers this pretty well.) You can also make a macro to send an echo to the chat log to fire it off manually if you want (which is also good for fights that don't quite "end" like in some 24 mans)
Finally, make sure when you're running and you actually want to save these that you have OBS and ACT up and the replay buffer running. I usually do for raid and whenever I'm going to sit down and do roulettes or w/e.
