Are psychedelics damaging? A metaphysical perspective. Really hoping someone has some knowledge about this. (X-post from r/psychedelics)

I have been extensively working with psychoactive plants for healing. They do open you up for sure. They can be dangerous for sure. But the benefits outweigh the negative. One must be quite spiritualy seasoned and mature to decipher the bullshitter forces that try to enter your space when you in altered states. And determine what messages are from the parasites. Messages they want you to believe… when you were an ultra states you will be open to both the demonic and divine influences. You will have a more open channel to real limbs that you cannot usually reach when you’re sober. many people talk about tripping. These agents are not meant for tripping. They are serious tools for spiritual growth and they must be taken very seriously. Same way you cannot play with a gun.

Read that article you linked. There is definitely truth to it. Prolonged habitual use of psychedelics and similar drugs does do something to people and they even develop similar personality traits, beliefs, thought patterns, emotional reactions, lifestyles, etc. and this is how I know there are negative spiritual consequences for those who are too addicted or use these things for fun or as a cope. If done responsibly and not as a habit, it should be fine imo.

I had a Wisdom Teacher that used to say that it permanently damages your etheric body and actually cracks a hole in it. It can cause such things as diseases such a cancer, according to him(not me),to enter into your physical body....

I am just repeating what I was told from a highly respected teacher who was also a necular physisit.And this is only one of many negative things that can happen....but personally I respect the Spiritual impact it can share with you to propel you forward.

Like the other person said " you cannot play with a loaded gun".
