first poem... probably sucks lol.

Sea Girl

She dances by the ocean,

Because she is afraid of the sea.

Her soul swallowed by the whale,

That lies in the deep.

But in those dark frigid waters,

Is something warm and bright.

She knows in her heart,

it is worth the fight.

She jumped into the abyss,

Despite her fear.

She almost got eaten,

As the monsters got near.

Back to the surface,

She grabbed hold of her rock.

And it told her how courageous she was,

For having fought.

He armed her with a sword of truth,

And a shield of virtue.

And said, "With these tools,

The lord shall protect you."

Back into the dark,

She moves forward once again.

And all of us are praying,

For her to win.

I'm not really a poet, nor a writer... just trying to get over a girl if you know what I mean. I'd appreciate any feedback on how I can make this better.
