How is Stardew Valley on a handheld?
I've tried playing it with a gamepad on my PC, and I just can't play this game without a mouse. Maybe I didn't understand the controls well enough.
It works well, similar to the switch version. :)
The difficulty I had was that it was tough to interact with specific tiles around you. For example, using a watering can was not a smooth process. Took me easily 3x longer than using a mouse.
You can turn on the target tile all the time, once you get the hang of it it’s all right. :)
there goes my weekend..
you going to write up a more detailed guide? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This works with portmaster, so first of all download and install the latest version of portmaster, then run it and download the Stardew Valley port.
Then shutdown the device and remove your sdcard with roms.
You then need to own a legitimate copy of Stardew Valley, but the 64bit version won’t work so you have to download the compatibility version of it.
Once you have the compatibility version downloaded copy all the files from the folder that contains Stardew Valley.exe into the /roms/ports/stardewvalley/gamedata folder.
Put the sdcard back in and go to ports and run Stardew Valley. It should work if you done it all correctly, it takes a minute or so to load.
Hopefully this helps. Let me know if you get stuck.
Also I did get the scraper to work, it turns out it wasn’t on the wifi. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I see you got the 351M. I'm debating myself on getting the 351P or 351M solely for GBA games. The M has the wifi module as well. Do you think it's worth it to get it just for that? I don't like the idea of using a wifi dongle. That would cost me another 15€ and at that point i could get just the 351M over the P.
Also, i've been reading about people complaining that the 351M is too heavy for long playsessions. Is that actually true?
Longest I have played is maybe an hour and a half in a single session, and I haven’t noticed the weight.
I actually play a lot of psx and megadrive and the screen resolution is fine for me. Wifi is what won me over in the end, the convenience is great.

This doesn't work? Sounds like you were reinventing the wheel.
Yes, I couldn’t get the compatibility version from gog to download for Linux.
I followed that guide, but I couldn’t get gog galaxy on Linux. So after several attempts of trying different things I ended up downloading it on windows via the gog galaxy client and that worked.
It took a bit of fiddling around, but I finally got the Portmaster port of Stardew Valley to run on my RG351M. This is by far one of my most favourite games, but the installation guide was a little sparse.
I tried using a Linux vm to download the compatibility version from gog, which I couldn’t get it to do. After several days of trying different things I had to use windows (I have a Mac) and download the Gog Galaxy client, then set it download the compatibility version.
I then copied the game files across and it worked! It runs really well, a few fps drops in areas with lots of grass. Now I am using Skraper to setup the gamelist data since screenscraper won’t work.
How do you think this would run in the 351v?
It works great. I'm using it.
Same. The vanilla runs fine. Can't run SMAPI on this device (so no Pathoschild mods like Cheats or Info), but XNB mods work. Left Analog is the mouse.
