The Most Oasis-y Oasis Album

Article

This writer summed it up perfectly...

Oasis was always the anti-grunge band. Though their music retained a post-punk sound, the stated purpose of the music was to be uplifting, but also, effortlessly cool. The reason why Be Here Now wasn’t embraced fully at the time of its release is for one simple reason: It was the album that was the least concerned with trying to be artistic or subtle. It was and still is, the most Oasis-y Oasis album, even if it doesn’t contain the band’s best songs.

100%

That album was almost a self-parody. Love a few songs on there, but I’d love to hear a full remix like Noel did with D’ya Know What I Mean

Oasis were such a breath of fresh air from the post metal grunge whine fest (I was a metal head in the 80s when music was fun). The whole British rock movement and rave scene exploded during a broken hearted 6 months I had after a break up with a long relationship. Saved my life
