PC version Xbox controller mapping completely wrong

Just started up the PC version using an Xbox Series controller via Bluetooth. The control mapping is hilariously wrong, i.e. the thumbstick functions are swapped, B is actually A, X is actually B, A is actually X... I'm not even sure how you get it this completely broken. There's no way to change this via the game or Epic so the game is unplayable and I'm going to have to refund it.
