and gone it will stay

Poem

I came home to find it wasn't there.

Freyja spoke bearing your tounge.

She spoke contradictions, winding me further around your finger. Even when you were away.

Tell me once, does she speak bearing mine?

Do you still wake breathless from dreams of my touch? Breathless, wanting only to come home again?

home isn't there.

I ask every question, and recieve not a single answer.

And I know you too will ask. But when you do you will find the same as I did.

Home isn't there.

i honestly love the use of the word home, its scattered in and really emphasises your tone. the length of lines is choosen i assume to represent the panic and questions and it really illustrates that well.
i like it a lot

Home has never really been a positive place for me, if it's even a place at all. I really enjoyed reading this It's beautiful.

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our feedback guide, or look through the comment sections of any other post here, or click the links to the author's feedback above. If you're not sure whether your comments are feedback, or you have any other questions, please send us a modmail.

I love this. Especially the use of the first line in a different tone and structure, later. But It's sad that you ended it this quickly. I hope you'll extend it a bit more, someday. Maybe somewhere in the middle. Keep writing. :)

That's the beauty in it though. It's short and to the point. The poem itself is enjoyable but leaves something to be desired. It's a reflection of the subject in the poem.
