Not a warthog! Looks like a boar to me

You’re totally right, I mixed up the names for the animal! Wish I could edit the tittle

That is a pig or wild boar skull (I’m not too good at differentiating between them yet), not a warthog, there are no warthogs in Spain they only live in Africa and their skulls look very different, like this

Domestic and wild pigs are the same species and are therefore very similar biologically so it would be almost impossible to tell the difference just looking at a skull. It wouldn’t make very much of a difference either way.

Most domesticated animals skulls can be distinguished from their wild counterparts by the stop (or slope) of the forehead. This skull is pretty flat from the top of the forehead to the nose so I'd say it's a boar.

Why do you think it is a warthog? It’s very cool but I don’t think there are any warthogs in Spain.

My mistake, I meant boar, warthog is the word that came to my brain in English.

My mistake guys, it’s a boar. Warthog is just the name that i thought of in English and didn’t check if it was correct. In Spanish the animal is called Jabali, and in Catalan it’s Porc Sanglar.

You can’t see in these pictures I posted but from the other side it still has this huge tusk, like the male wild boars are known to have. Also I found it in the mountain where they live, so that’s why I don’t think it’s a domestic pig. Besides I’ve never seen a single domestic pig around the area.
