holster advice
Looking for a good owb option for a 5" 1911 with a rail, preferably paddle style.

I bought a fobus evolution and it is terrible; way too tight and scratched the slide of my pistol.

I also bought the alien gear kit like CHarv399 they are a very good holster better than kidex and can be configured numerous ways. You basically buy the main kit then all you need for a different cinfiguration is an expansion pack wich are notably cheaper which also makes it nice not havimg to buy a full kit every time you want to carry another way thats more conveinant for you entirely or for that ocation

https://aliengearholsters.com/ and yes there is a paddle also but warning if you have a wider rear sight like one that is adjustable you might have to slightly modify where the rear sight rests against the shell

That’s what I have as well. I love it so much I got one for my XDS as well….. also can’t beat the warranty, forever is great!
