wow...yeah I felt this poem. Wanting to be with someone even after they're long gone. That pain sticks with you, and this poem was a great example of how much it hurts missing someone you'll never be with again.  I hope you're doing well, this poem was great!

Thank you!! I work with my ex so I see him every day so it’s been difficult to move on. Especially since no one knew we were together for two years since we couldn’t tell anyone bc he’s my boss. But it really sucks bc he was also my best friend. I hope you are doing well! Thank you again for the feedback!!

Man do I relate to this. I have a long story I’ll make short; I proposed to a friend of mine last week in nyc with an apple because it was all I had. She said yes and I thought all was going well. Anywho, when we got back she kind of disappeared and wouldn’t talk to me. Finally we were able to talk all of it out and I’m kind of just following her lead in just acting like it never happened. So when you wrote, “my heart longs for you, my body wants you and my mind misses you,” it clicks with me. Especially when I have to see her because we’re in the same friend group. We all know the feeling of longing for someone. Whether a lover, family member, or someone you never really knew at all, and those words really eased the pain in this

I hate that I see you every day 

Exchanging longing glances 

Doing anything to be close to each other 

But

Knowing we can’t act on it

We can’t go down that road again 

I can’t do it again 

The heartbreak knowing I can’t fully have all of you

But,

My heart longs for you

My body wants you

And

My mind misses you

So,

Why do I want to be with you again

When I know it’s wrong
