Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look

Thanks, but I was experimenting with iambic pentameter.

Praise from the praiseworthy - thank you.

This poem is strong. It conveys the feeling of not just sadness but despair. The person can be presumed to take medication but wonders if that medication... assuming that the medication is there to manage the symptoms... will be their choice of undoing.

It's a hard poem to read not in the sense of understanding but due to the emotional components. The reader wants the person to feel happy. They want them to feel the emotions of freedom, to laugh, to smile but the person cannot. The poem could be insinuated that the person is alone and when they are gone they wonder if the apartment will be rented to someone else.

The new move in's might not know of the tragedy that potentially occurred. The reader does not want the person in the story to leave and hopes that no new move in's enter apartment 3.

This is a strong poem. I need to see more of your writing in the future. You put human emotions into words so well that a gift like that can make those who feel unseen seen. That'

"I wonder if they'll rent apartment 3.

Without telling them what happened to me."

These two lines feel like the glue that bind the depictions of suffering throughout this piece with that dark desire to disappear that comes as the result of those feelings. These two lines are carefully placed and bring the whole piece home for me.
