I am at my wits end.

Help (GPU)

AMD fanboy here. 5700XT red devil, 5900x cpu. Crashes multiple times a day, weekly at best. My 970M laptop (nVidia/Intel) that is 8 years old has never crashed once while playing a game. PC has crashed 4 times today (sound freeze into blackscreen auto reboot) Different drivers don't help. I'm about done with this S**t.

Try underclocking your gpu to reference card frequencies

Thank you. I did that a few days ago 1900/1000 and it hasn’t seemed to help.

Make sure that you are using high or ultimate performance power plan.

I am, thank you.

Ryzen 5000 series do not need special power plan, the windows balanced one integrates the old ryzen balanced for those processors on w10 and above. You should use that one.

What is the benefit of using balanced.

Clarification : ryzen balanced for 3000 : cppc2. Ryzen 5000 : Windows balanced Automatic optimisation which you forego if you set it manually.

As for your problem: use last whql 22.5.1 / test ram should be your first steps.

I would hunt for hot spots on the motherboard if your vrm seem hotter then normal. People forget that chips can get hotter then normal due to a power supply not providing the power needed to run it a power supply is best when the system at max load to be 60-80% usage old and power supply at90% and above can cut life of power supply making your power supply not able to hit its rated voltage over time
