Illumination Theory is the next correct answer.

But ACOS is 23 minutes. Not even 26!

^(^please ^don't ^make ^a ^factorial joke)

MarcyX13•

unironically someone could make a “song” that long using like some mathematical thing, like a musical pattern that takes 26! minutes to complete

I put song in quotes because like you can call an 11 hour pitch bend a song, but imo it’s not really a song

Lateralus? Not 26 mins but something like that?

Still, that would be a dick move. DT sounds like actual garbage noise to anyone who doesn't "get it" so it really isn't good as ambient music.

Oh I agree a 100%. I was being a bit cheeky there.

IDK, last time I was in a bar I saw that the jukebox had Train of Thought, so I queued up In The Name Of God. Had most of the other patrons head-banging within a minute, haha. I guess it depends on the song.

Well that song’s a lot more digestible tbh

Request Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence

This, then he has to say yes when you request a "shorter" song bahahaa

Nawww, just one more song mom!

And then playing change of seasons... Oh the good ol' days!

Should have recommended Bleed by Meshuggah after

Majesty1985•

They have it on those internet jukeboxes. I played it at an Irish pub once and immediately left after it started

My friends and I did "Feed The Ground" by Periphery at a bar. It was really fun.

My favorites long songs that are usually on jukeboxes are "in a gadda da vida" by i-ron butterfly (remember when we used to make love to this hymn?) or freebird. I think the jukeboxes they have here are called touchtunes or something like that.

My sister's boyfriend used to work at a bar where the bartender could skip songs they didn't like. After the patrons paid for them. Without refunds. Fucking bullshit.

MC1000•

The correct answer is no.

I was at a bar once with a jukebox (in my pre-DT days) and for 50 cents requested "Heard it through the Grapevine" by CCR and "No Woman No Cry (Live)". Someone cut them off after about 3 minutes.

This brings me a lot of memories. Me and my friends who love DT too, used to be going to a pretty popular bar and in the jukebox there was a lot of dream theater song. We would put octavarium and the count of tuscany pretty often and people were getting really mad because their songs were not playing in the jukebox. But at one point they blocked songs over like 4min 😥 good times !!

Nobody tells DJ Request what to play!

Next time ask for green carnation – light of day, day of darkness

Ha. We would play CoS when that when the local BW3's first got the internet jukebox. No one liked that.

24, take it or leave it

2
KeitoCanada•

Request The Count of Tuscany. Still shorter than 26 minutes but not by much.
