Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look

Reminds me of Frost; thus, unique you are not,
though you rest well with those who remind me of you.

The worry of one who creates is a unique burden upon those who would strive to create, and risk letting themselves down. I too wish that those who delved into my words would find a piece of me that they would look at and say, “what beauty, what truth, my you are more than you seem!”

Alas, were it only so easy.

Enough about me, let’s talk about you, that’s why you are here after all ;)

Your words are livid to me—I visualize your scenery. However, I would suggest more specifics in places. One example, “something alive’” isn’t specific enough to evoke any feeling of what I assume is you. You are alive and you are something, but neither descriptor tells me that it is the unique you.

In improv we learn—and try to apply—the rule that you should give a “gift” in the form of an assertion that gives the scene a springboard for your partner. May I suggest you do the same with your reader, t

I love the imagery of the opening, you create an excellent image of fertile and verdant ground, I feel as though it fell of a bit when you attempted to maneuver into the other senses, the writing itself is not bad, and I implore you not to take that as criticism, I personally would love to have a more consistent sense of place, and sometimes the simplification of sense can lend itself well to that (in my opinion).
