Time
I remember how the warm sand flowed
inside my inert hand
and in my heart I felt my sad fate,
that the day was growing short
Suddenly restlessness assailed me
because of the equinox that makes leaves fall
and turns with its mane of mist
the golden shores into pale seeing.
Urn was my hand
Hourglass was my heart in turmoil,
My wrinkles shadows of pin
My face dial of sundial
And now as I watch it all fall silent
in a pale sunset of a summer gone
is quieted within me that torment
that gives me no peace
