Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look

Gritty. I love it. thanks for painting a picture

I love imaging being drunk and thinking someone just unzipped my stomach, watching my guts spill out, but then it's just me throwing up. Then an annoyed partner ashes in the vomit on the floor lol.

That's what I see at least, really robust image you drew with a few lines there.

I love this poem. It romanticizes the fact that this is just a quick fuck, turning it into its own denominational religion. I love how the sharp wording like ash and fuck are hidden between the softer lines of the poem. And the last line being an outcry of something that could be so sincere but also so meaningless really ties it all together. I adored it.

I love the format of your poem. Very raw.

This feels like hate love. It feels like deep visceral love or visceral sexual hate. I would probably stop before the last line because it is more jarring than I thought it might be. Would love to hear more about the background. Is this it? Is there hope here or despair? Or is it ambiguous. I like the ambiguity.

damn.. this is one helluva image.. keep it up.. I’m sure you have more stories in tow.

This is raw and gritty. You have done a great job with the imagery and how it translates. I particularly like the religious references and the sharp language. Fantastic job overall!
