Looking to buy Samsung refrigerator - Don't plan on ever using the ice maker or water filter. Will I have less issues?

Hello! I've just went through countless "DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE" posts on this sub and yet here I am asking this question. I don't think it has been asked before, if it has, I'm sorry, I couldn't find it.

We have never used an ice maker or the fridge water dispenser in any of our refrigerators in the past and don't have any plans to in the future. We have a countertop Berkey Water Filter. If we want it cold, we'll put it in a pitcher and if we want ice, we have trays.

With that said, if I never use the water filter or ice maker and have that featured disabled (or even disconnected, if possible), will I have a less chance of running into these ice maker issues people are having? The issue with the ice building up next to the fan seems like the most common one. Will I minimize water drainage and potential leakage/clogging issues as well?
