[TOMT][MYTHOLOGY/FOLKLORE] Story where the hero wins a rigged card game

It's been a very long time, so I forget all the details.

Essentially, a hero is told by some antagonist that they need to draw from a pair of cards. If they draw one, they get what they were after; but if they draw another, something bad happens to them.

The antagonist, however, rigged the game by making both cards give the bad result. The hero, suspecting foul play, grabs a card and destroys it without looking at it.

The hero then draws the other card, and sees it has the bad result. The hero argues that since the second card had the bad result, they must have originally picked the card with the good result.

The antagonist has been forced into a situation where they either have to concede that the hero won, or lose face for cheating. The antagonist concedes and the hero continues on.
