Is it possible for a first year student to go completely online (asynchronous)?

Is this possible? I know they have online lectures for bio, chem but there are no online classes for calculus. My prof said that each lecture is posted posted in the media section of Quercus. I learn better online tbh and I don't know if I can make that change in calc since there is no asynchronous course for calc. Any advise on this? It's just that my father passed away last week and it's been a rough month for me.
