Hello all very new to this Reddit group, could use some clarification
So I admit I am “older “ than most if not all in this community. But here’s my thoughts about myself. I have been struggling with myself for YEARS. Who I am as well as what I consider myself when looking in the mirror. Now a quick back story, things were not like they are now , although the struggle is still HUGE in the LGBTQ community. It was virtually nonexistent back in the early 90s to late 90s. With that being said I would struggle considering myself as a bisexual man. But the other day my barber and I were discussing my past and the different partners I’ve had throughout the years. When She asked what do I consider my personal label, i said bisexual without hesitation. I told her of past relationships and how I was deeply in love with a Transgender Female, and what an amazing person she was and how she helped my personal journey. At that point my barber turned me around and said , you need to look up Pansexual and it’s definition. And now I am a little confused. I have already come out to my wife and a close mutual friend we share as a bi male happily married to a born female. But did I mistake my personal label? And I am aware of some people who choose to hate labels. But for me it is important for my identity. I have been alone with who I am for so many years I just want a “ home “ . Sorry for the long message.
