Small fry just bouncing and glowing at nothing (Yes I have looked at other posts)
(I have had the answer given pretty much! So don’t mind my text if you don’t want to!)
I am already stressed and without internet so I thought of jumping into the Single Player finally, all was good until I started noticing Smallfry jumping up and down glowing over and over and over no matter where I throw the little baby onto the map. Aka basically immediately into the second stage or whatever.
Anyway I have seen other posts. I know the intention is to spray around to find the hidden treasure.. so much so that after finding 2 posts that said to spray close or far away from Smallfry I sprayed the entire map down of one of the stages and absolutely NOTHING. No matter how many times I throw Smallfry around and spray around my already inked turf. Nothing.
I seriously need help here, is there something I am missing here? Am I just stupid? This is just making me wish they did stuff like hidden scrolls or whatever it is in this game in the way they did it in 2, and it’s only making me not like Smallfry at all. Maybe it’s just bugged for me, no reason at all. Anything to explain this…

It sounds like you are saying he is doing it when you are in a kettle that's different, in stages with enemies he bounces to distract them. When you are on a site, the area where you select the stage and have small fry eat the fuzzy goo, when he bounces up and down that means there is something nearby.
I read text so far and never thought I read anything about distraction so when this radiant sounding.. sound and glow comes from Smallfry and then I see a post talking about how it means there is a treasure nearby… my only assumption was it’s a treasure sound. The images and videos were taken from within kettle stages too when people said that at least from what I found.
I appreciate the people like you and the other person to explain what it was because it was very much shredding any bit of fun I could have thinking something was bugged or whatever.
If you throw small fry he will bounce and glow when he lands (assuming you did not hit something else, like an enemy for instance, then he’ll attack whatever you threw him at). However, sometimes in the over world he will run up to something and bounce and glow in front of it (dialogue will pop up and he should have an exclamation point above his head). That means he’s found treasure and you need to shoot in front of him. Note that he finds treasure automatically. You don’t do anything for him to do it.
