thank you! feel free to message me any questions you have about the poem, i'd be glad to answer them

Poems are very personal things, and most often it is for the poet. This poem is very vague and leaves a lot up for interpretation. Every person who reads it will have a different experience. I love the use of personification to describe the wind. The simile "As an obsequious man digs flesh" is very unique and brings quite a dark twist to the poem. I really wish I could sit down and talk to the poet and learn more about it.

The descriptiveness of your poem lends itself to creating a vague but still complete image, as if the rest of the story is hidden within what isn’t said in the lines, in turn adding a flair of mystery and imagery in a way i really quite like!

I'm trying to find the direction and the vibe of this one. but i think this is a very individual piece unique to the individual. I write mostly for myself as an expressive vent. people I've shown my work to, either completely resonate with what I've written, or they just don't get it. I think it very much depends on perspective and human experience.

Good work tho

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look
