I just rewatched this episode. And if I remember correctly she wasn’t there. I think it was simply because she didn’t make much of an impact on Q so far in his time there therefore he didn’t dream her into it when the spell kicked in

I thought it was because Julia was the architect and just didn’t know Margo. Isn’t that why Penny had an accent?

She didn’t know penny either though or Alice the only brakebills students she saw was Quentin and Eliot my theory is that the prison was based off his memories and feelings of the people he knew like how Penny was still a dick it’s caused that’s how Q perceived them and how Alice and Eliot were both horn dogs it’s cause that’s how he felt about them cause in the books it says Quentin had a crush on Eliot when he met them and that could explain why Margo isn’t in the Scarlatti web cause Quentin didn’t know her well enough to decide how he felt about her and why Julia laughed at him cause he felt guilty about how he treated her

To my knowledge Julia was the architect of the spell (with Marina of course) It was all based off Q’s mind and memories. When he is talking to Jane in the prison of light at the end of the episode she said “He conjured that awful place and terrible thing he never did to his father” Julia laughs however because every time Q sees her it is actually her entering the Scarlatti web. Later when Q is out of it after taking his meds Julia visits him again and says “Snap out of it, are you f#%*ing with me? This will be over soon, try not to get buried under it” My quotes aren’t 100% accurate just from memory

Oh dang that’s a great point! I always thought Julia was laughing because she thought he sucked and was glad he was stressing. Totally forgot she didn’t know Alice and Penny either. Time for a rewatch.
