It's finally time to upgrade my 4770k, In that time I finally acquired a few degrees and plenty of adult money. Spend most of my time in linux these days but still want to destroy games and VFIO seems like a great option for anything I can't get to run in linux.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) 4k 144Hz, VR ready, Future-proof as much as possible.

I'm slightly concerned about cooling everything. I've planned to go heavy on air driven, don't think I want to do a custom loop and I don't think I want/can cram 3 AIO radiators in there for everything. I plan to use the 3090 in the Windows VM and the 6900 XT in Linux. I've tried to get an open case and load it with fans but want to make sure this doesn't overheat. Any advice?
