Accessing free learning paths via VPN
I'm currently not a paid subscriber and just getting started with TryHackMe and find the learning paths very informative and helpful, but I find the one hour daily allowance of Attackbox usage very frustrating as it is slowing my progression considerably. My question is, can I somehow do the challenges associated with lessons using my own ParrotOS install over the OpenVPN connection and have more time available like with the labs or would I have to pay for that privilege?
Thanks.

If I were you I would download virtual box and install Kali Linux as a VM. Then you can download an OpenVPN-file from THM and use it to connect to THM. It’s probably the easiest way to keep doing it for free. You can read more on how to install kali here: kali installation docs
Thanks for that. I have ParrotOS installed as a VM already and I've done a couple of the labs, but I wasn't quite sure whether I could use the same method to do the coursework?
Edit: I'm a dummy! I've just realised how to do it after all.
Cheers :)
As long as you have the tools it doesn't matter. I use Ubuntu on a VM and VPN into thm:s network.
Was it the way that was just recommended to you?
