Thanks for the feedback!  I wasn’t sold on the Of line either but I went with it.  I was trying to combine Where and Of in consecutive lines to get the feeling of Whereof, I think.  I appreciate the comment!

I’m not gonna lie I don’t like how real this is. That doesn’t mean I think it’s bad. It’s true. The only part I didn’t get is the “of: inescapable.” I kind of read it as of which is inescapable but I’m not sure if that was the intended meaning. I like the stacking of the questions that lead to the end. “God, I hope so.” The weight hope collects and how quick it can be taken away. 👍🏽

I rally like the beginning of the poem, not that the end is bad just the beginning is really powerful .

I love the frantic nature of this. It reads really well. It's like someone accepting their fate and realising that fighting is hopeless.

This is Encompassing, All


There is no Leave


There is no Reprieve


Escape?  None


Outlet?  Absent


Abandonment?  Out of the question


Ready: to Overflow


Already: Pouring


Where: the Entirety


Of: its Inescapable


Cost?  All


Tally?  A Burden


Endurance?  Unlikely


Necessity?  Vital


Survival?  God, I hope so.
