Looks like a TA2 Trans Am car.
Hey good luck on Sunday bro, you got this
Lol username
might be a day late on that one, chief
He may be doing what Ryan Newman did and doing a street race to give some kid a shot in nascar
Nice NASCAR chase for the cup 05 reference
I originally had it on saturday but remembered most nascar races are on sunday so I changed it. Now that I'm wrong again I'm just gonna say fuck it and keep it this way
That's what I was thinking too. Those are cool ass cars
Looks like a different rear wing maybe, chassis doesn’t quite look right to me for TA2 but I can’t put my finger on why. I’ll send it to some friends who work trans am and see what they think
That's probably the SCCA car that Dillon, Reddick, and Grala have raced before. https://twitter.com/austindillon3/status/1467645874260123652
This is it, thank you!
Not as interested as I thought it would be lol
Looks to be a Trans Am car
Last offseason, Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, and Kaz Grala took an (IIRC) old Cup chassis and won a couple of endurance races at COTA. I believe that is the car they raced based on this tweet.
We built that car last year to run in the World Racing League I think it’s called, an endurance racing league. It was raced last winter by Reddick, Grala, and A Dillon at COTA. The car won both races it entered in, a pair of 8 hour races, and it won by a LOT. I think like almost 5 minutes in the 2nd race? It had some plans to get raced/tested a few others places but so far nothing since. Mike Dillon might try to get it running again this off-season
Great info, thanks so much🤙🏻
How cool is it that we can have access to people who REALLY know what's happening inside a REAL race shop and not have speculation?
Thanks for chiming in!!!
One of Austin’s race engineers here, that’s Mike Dillon’s “fun run” car. It’s a trans am car and the body is from Fury Race Cars. They put one of the old COT wings on it that had still been laying around the shop. They built the car last year to run the race at COTA last December. Austin, Tyler and Kaz ran in that race and won.
I don’t know much about the specifics of it since I wasn’t involved in that project.
Awesome info, thanks for the reply🤙🏻
Was going to say that it reminded me of the TA car Austin ran at COTA, glad to see I'm not misremembering 🙂
YEAHHHH COT IS BACK
/s
There we go! LOL!!!!
NASCAR like you want safety!?! - here ya go!
TA car for Trans-Am that normally runs with Austin Dillon & Kaz Grala, I believe it is a FURY Race Cars chassis. This class of cars should not be confused with the TA2 class, they just run the same events.
Same Chasis as SRX?
Don’t believe so, the one they use is their Type R which they’ve made since 2017-2018
Different chassis but maybe by the same people
Definitely Fury makes the SRX chasis.
COT to the 8 confirmed.
My money would be on a Trans Am aswell
Oh yeah. RCR are racing Aussie Supercars.

Fun fact: RCR was rumored to be investing in HRT at the same time Penske bought into DJR. The stated goal was to give their engine department a bit of a jump start on EFI. The deal didn't make sense however and never went past the rumors/initial talks phase.
Could you imagine a black 3 Holden Commodore running The Mountain? Lawd...
A guy can dream. Imagine that thing hauling the mail down the Conrod Straight, breathing fire as it downshifts into The Chase. That would be a beautiful sight to behold.
They steal that off the car of tomorrow
Behold. The Car of Two to Three Days Ago.
#8 Camaro?
comedy
That’s the Gen 8. Affectionately dubbed the “Car of 2morrow”
2 Car 2 Morrow
Kyle Busch’s 2023 ride.
Maybe testing out a possible road course wing?
EPCOT: the Experimental Prototype Car Of Tomorrow.
uh. trans am car? unsure why rcr would have one though.
Tyler, here's your car for next year.
Lol It just fails every tech inspection so he has to start at the back.
Idk, Tyler, they keep making us go through tech. We found out there's something wrong with the car.
I know, buddy, this announcement could not come at a worse time.
Good news though, were trying an ambitious new engine setup on your car this week! We think this could really help with performance and... what? It already blew up? Aw shucks, back to the drawing board!
It's an iteration of Kyle Larson's Daytona engine!
It's definitely been fixed. Definitely.
He got bumped down to Trans Am
Their gonna try that wing for Bristol.
Fingers crossed !
It's Bristol baby !!!
