I'VE MADE A LOT OF MISTAKES

Poem

There's no princess in the castle

the castle doesn't even exist

I am not your majesty

everything I'm thinking

I guarantee it's all thrifted

Love is not love

Love is bought and shipped along

moving crates inside warehouses

I let lighting crash

and let the illness control your

narrative

but you were more than

your worst moments

I wrote the letter that hath

brought you to ruin

Your pictures in the living room

cripple me

I will never hear you laugh again

I am sorry you let anyone think your

existence was some kind of

insect

I wake up at the end of my bed

from the dream that

you are pulling on my sweater

but here I am again
