Smiley eyes
two gleaming smiley eyes
rise like the parted sea
the moon is your hooded lids
the light is your glare
that my marble orbs absorb
and shine like diamond domes
upon your sunken coastline
as water fills deep where I hide
where two beaming drifty eyes
welcome the new mixture
of stone and slippery wetness
across my bones
cutting through your titanium shield
as effortlessly as the magnetic force
between two objects bound to the same place
only for a brief moment, though
as tension settles
into blissful certainty
a future God only knows
a flicker into forever
upon your hooded eyes
