Comments re Polariton / LWLG News Release
I could not be happier with the two NR's today. In particular, the Polariton NR knocks it out of the park!
From the NR: "The link contained a plasmonic modulator using electro-optic polymer material as well as a novel metamaterial enhanced graphene photodetector featuring a 200 nm spectral window and a setup-limited1 bandwidth of 500 GHz. The EOE link achieved a world record and unprecedented 250 GHz 3dB bandwidth." [emphasis mine]
I checked with the company, and they CONFIRMED that the technology used in Polariton's demo was a "plasmonic slot using LWLG polymers". This is huge, folks.
If you recall from the ASM, Michael showed the following chart that simply said that Polymer Slot's 3dB bandwidth is "Over 100GHz". The NR today as emphasized above says that the 3dB bandwidth is at least 250 GHz!
The only way to make my day better is to have an NR about our first signed foundry partnership and LWLG trading at new highs!
