How to make friends at university while dealing with dysphoria
I am starting university in about a week and a half, and plan on staying in a dorm. At my uni, most rooms will have 4 people, so me and probably 3 girls. So no chance of going stealth.
I have severe social anxiety, a lot of which is dysphoria-based, and I live in a conservative, religious eastern european country. I'm going to uni for computer engineering, and I am not sure whether my peers will generally be the "elon musk is my idol types", but it is fairly probable.
I feel like if I have to continue playing the role of a girl, or a young woman, I will fall back into depression, and I have already spent the whole of middle/high school extremely disillusioned with life. University is the point at which I promised myself some attempt at hapiness.
Beyond that, I am unsure of really how to make friends, again, anxiety. I am far better at dealing with it than 4 years ago(used to have hour long daily panic attacks in 9th grade), but I don't really have any practice at making friends. Having a tendency for self isolation and a high probability of having asd doesn't help.
Uh yeah. Help, please? Thank you!
