Hello EU! I'm driving from Stockholm to Belgium next month, any courses that are must see on the way?
Open for any suggestions, thanks in advance!

When I was visiting from the states I played Parc Bourdon in Braine-l'Alleud with the course designer where they host the Belgium Open. Really fun course with a good mix of long and tight wooded holes and open shots with good distance as well. He gave me a mini as a souvenir that I still bag. Depending on where you’re headed in Belgium, that course was a blast and would be worth a stop.
Looks great, thanks! Might be a bit south for us, but I'll keep this in mind!
Braine/Bourdon definitely is the best course in Belgium (best layout, best level of play/challenge, best maintenance). Jean-Louis Tanghe, course designer, will be happy to play a round with you. He's a legend in Belgium for organizing most of the the NT tourneys and the Belgium Open. 2022 BO was played this last WE, and it was the final tourney of the Euro Tour. Great event with players coming from Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia and many more countries. Might also become one of the Euro Pro Tour destinations next year.
Some alternatives are:
- Yvoir (pay to play) You need to register and book your Tee Time before going. Good level of play but not crazy.
- Kontich/Parc Zandbergen: Fun technical course with home made baskets. Don't play it solo, some fairways are crossing and some baskets are used for several holes. Mountain bikers also use the park. Send spotters.
- Jambes/Parc d'Amée: small course with many possible layouts
- Louvain-la-Neuve: 9 hole (now 8 hole since a basket has been vandalized). Technical course with lots of OB gardens. Play it early in the morning or it will be crowded on sunny days.
- Eau d'Heure (short and easy, pay to play) Mixed course with ball golf, soccer golf, and other kinds of golf all on the same land.
There are other courses that I still haven't played: Putte (9 holes, one of our NT stops), Borsbeek (9 holes), and a new one in Ciney still in the making.
Wow, great summary, thank you!!
Oh! And I will be happy to play a round with you if our schedules match :-)
Järva in Stockholm is a must!
I have a much higher chance of visiting Stockholm later on than for example southern Sweden or Denmark, so I'll probably leave this until then (one more reason to visit!)
