A word about using unofficial Minecraft clients..

Don't. Clients such as Spoutcraft or hacked clients such as Nodus are not allowed on MineZ - at all, ever. You may only use the official Minecraft client. If you want to use special launchers such as mcnostalgia or something of the like to roll yourself back to a previous Minecraft jar for the time being - that is fine, as long a sit launches the Minecraft jar and not a special client. Over the last 3 days I've been browsing twitch.tv only to find almost every person streaming MineZ is using Spoutcraft and using toggle sprint as well as slew of other combat mods that are strictly banned in MineZ. We do this so it is fair for everyone and patrol the public servers watching for cheaters and banning as soon as possible. This is already a brutally difficult game - we don't need cheaters to the mix.

As for mods that are currently approved for MineZ:

Rei's Minimap

Optifine

Shaders and texture packs are fine as they don't alter the gameplay. Any GUI or HUD mods are fine as well as long as they only show something that you can normally see in the Minecraft client (such as armor durability, coordinates, etc)
