Overdosed and Can No Longer Take Panic Meds

NSFW

Hi, this is my first post on this site but I honestly am out of options so I'm hoping I can get some sort of answer here.

I'm a college student and a few weeks ago I took a plateau 4 DXM trip that landed me in the hospital, there was no acetaminophen or anything, it was pure DXM I just took more than my body could handle. I was hospitalized for 2ish days and recovered fully (or so I thought) within a week. There does seem to be one aspect of me that possibly hasn't recovered tho.

I'm prescribed Klonopin for panic attacks and anxiety and it's honestly been working amazingly at calming me down during those panic type moments. Since the overdose tho, it doesn't seem to work. I don't take it too often, maybe once or twice a week max so I know it isn't some sort of tolerance issue. My counselor suggested the overdose could have temporarily fried part of my brain and that I'd need to wait to recover but that hasn't stopped the panic attacks from occurring and they seem to be getting worse.

Initially I tried using alternatives. Kava, Damiana, and Blue Lotus Extract were some of the legal calming drugs I could find so I decided just the other day to mix decent doses for my body weight of all 3 and take it all at once. I felt nothing. Similarly I used to take kratom on occasion but that doesn't seem to be working either (I took 8.5 grams which I believe is a high dose for anyone).

My main issue I guess is that I don't quite get what's happening. All of these deal with different parts of the brain to my knowledge so how am I immune to all of them? One possible answer I guess I could accept due to another thread I read is Risperidone possibly disabling my ability to get "high?" I was prescribed that recently and only took it after the overdose but there was still an occurrence of me trying kratom and getting nothing before I was even put on this, less than a week after the overdose.

The only other medications I'm on are wellbutrin which I've been taking for years with no noticeable direct interactions with anything I've done, I've also started taking vitamin D3 supplements tho I doubt they have anything to do with it, I took hydroxyzine for sleep one day which worked (tho I took 3x my prescribed dose, and it has had no effects on my anxiety) and finally I've tried Noopept a few times due to recommendation from a friend. This seems to be the only thing that has an effect on me (granted it's an upper and everything else has been downers (and a dissociative?)) .

So now after relaying all that information I ask, What's actually happening to my body? Is it permanent? Should I stop taking my antipsychotic? How can I stop the rapid increase in severity of my panic attacks? Please help, It's only been getting worse. Thank you.
