There are a LOT of characters that are all fairly different in how they play, so was a bit overwhelming picking two for the first game.

I want to say I was enraptured and loving the game for the first hour and a half, but then it did feel a bit "grindy" as I tried to power up the characters for the final push for the Dead King.

I'm conflicted on how to rate the end experience. On one hand, exploring hexes and finding random stories / encounters / challenges in hexes sounds relaxing - but then the game has essentially a "forced time limit end" as the Dead King destroys all the cities and comes right at your party. So part of me wants to be able to explore on my own timeline and enjoy the feeling of exploration/discovery but then another part is "you need to power up and be optimized in every turn to maximize your chances at the end boss."

Nice! I played a game this afternoon as well! Did you grab a copy in the latest GF campaign, too?

I did. Never played it but I imagine like others, watched a number of videos.

I think Amazon has a copy of forests of adrimon for pretty cheap. That is the second one that came out and is usually considered the best. I just finished it and loved it. I don’t know how to get a copy of the dead king though.

I just finished forests of adrimon campaign. I loved the game overall. I did lose at the end but I almost enjoyed losing because now I want to play it again and now I know what to prepare for. Leveling up and getting loot in this game is so much fun and so addicting—it kinda reminded me of Diablo 2.

I want to play this game but it's such a huge table hog so I'm afraid to buy it.
