Wealth can be obtained by any means necessary, it doesn’t have to be legally made, just who in DB has the most money/assets?

You make a very fair point, one that I did not previously consider. It could be argued that Darkseid, as the ruler of an entire planet, would be vastly wealthy all things considered. However, from what I’ve seen, Darkseid doesn’t necessarily care about money, only power, and thus is not portrayed as being as wealthy as he supposedly is. That’s probably why he was not my first choice. If we are taking rulers into account, would Shao Khan not be wealthier, as his is the ruler of an entire realm/universe?

From this post in particular. Scrooges net worth is WELL above what they claim on Forbes. Dudes definitely a trillionare. And possibly even a quadrillionare. He did say once that if he kept losing 1 billion a minute, then he will go broke in 600 years. Meaning this dudes got a net worth of 315 trillion dollars. Well over 3 times Tchallas net worth
