Great choice for a first AR

Thanks to some of you guys suggestion, I bought the LWRC IC DI in burnt bronze. I added a 510C + HM3X combo I got from GAFS. Can’t wait to bring it to the range

Any reason you decided to go with di over their piston? LWRCI makes a great piston ar-15.

Regardless you cant go wrong with LWRCI.

Congrats on your rifle!

Not OP but I’d say DI is easier to find replacement parts for, lighter (iirc), and pretty damn reliable already.

DI is also significantly less expensive. I think they're a crazy value for the build quality

Im pretty new to the AR15 world and went off of recommendations from subreddit. I really have no clue the difference between the two version

I love my LWRC my only complaint is I wish the hand guard was longer and mlok

Wow, definitely spent some money for your first rifle! I have it too.. I think it’s in my posts. These work really well with FRT-15 triggers if that is something you are into.. not that I would know anything about that. 😙

I got a Larue MBT 2s trigger that I’ll put in it. Thanks for the recommendation though

Great trigger and amazing value when they have the buy 5 deal for $70 each.

Holy shit that’s a hell of a first choice

I’m fond of holosuns line. I own a couple reflex sights. Especially like the shake awake.

The choices for reticles and battery life are what does it for me. I don't get to go out all that often, and the fact that all of them (except the K model sights for compact pistols) have the solar panel on them means I'll still be able to shoot.

ALimpHotdog•

The solar is a plus too. Slick rifle though.

Nice. Imo a lwrc is like the meta for someone wanting a serious first AR out of the box all you need

11
NameSc2OP•

Exactly what I was looking for. I don’t have enough experience to build.

Once you get a bit more familiar, give it a shot! There's a great step by step guide online. Lower Reciever and Upper Reciever. It will allow you to get very comfortable with all of the parts and how they operate! You really can't screw it up, and if you have any issues at all there's bound to be someone close by who can help you out pretty easily.

You want to ruin this man’s life positively. Don’t you?

1
ciampi21•

Admittedly, yes. It's only fair after some great asshole redditor did it to me!

Excellent choice

Ain't nothing better than Catan and a good rifle

6
Tacoshortage•

Catan is a great game! I just can't get my family to play with me anymore because they're babies and I dominate the shit out of them. Oh nice AR dude.

NameSc2OP•

It ain’t fun if you’re not winning

i have the ic-di in black but with an m-lok hand guard, they are such good looking rifles

Slatemanforlife•

Nice but .... like .... they work better in pairs

Bro that's beautiful. I just got a LWRC M6A5 with an 18in barrel for my first AR. It's 9 years old and had never been shot. I threw a Sig Romeo 5 on it and I'm loving it so far!

I had a stroke reading this..

Fair enough, I wasn't paying much attention when I typed it out apparently lol
