Not a seizure, but a buy-back. How many toys can you spot?

I want that navy colt
I like that stainless Remington on the other end of the table
Can I buy back the buy back plz government. Think it’s legal to go to these and buy guns from people
I wish most of these will probably get destroyed funny part is some places will have a buyback then they'll cut up the receiver and sell everything as parts kits literally helping me make the scary ghost guns the media keeps talking about
Why not try to buy the guns from people in line for the buyback sadly this is in New York where it's illegal to have person to person sales but anywhere else you could literally buy them from people in line and it doesn't take much to beat their prices
You mean the 1847 Colt Walker replica?
Is it the .44
Yea
That Luger pisses me off even though it's a 22lr I've seen them run about $800 a pop and the sad part is they don't make them anymore
If it makes you feel any better, that's a Stoeger STLR-4, not a Luger P08
It's patterned off the Luger, but, it's a unique gun.
The $150 they were giving at the buyback is about what they go for.
That's what I mean it's a 22 I've shot one like it it's a pretty cool gun but there super expensive (also that's just action that isn't the final price) they are also hard to find and a bit of a wild card . buybacks are a rip-off it's kinda funny some of them won't take homemade guns like 3d printed harlot pistols (which are almost entirely 3d printed pistols that cost like 5 dollars to make but they are still a firearm) and 20 dollar homemade pipe shotguns I guess the government only cares if your losing money
The Luger P08 is the super expensive one, especially if it has an original .22 conversion.
They go for >$3,000 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/946356050, with the very rare conversion kit going for an additional $2500 https://simpsonltd.com/luger-large-box-22-conversion-kit/
Stoegers are the cheap knockoffs that cost $70 brand new.
They're easy to find for around $200

Even in great condition, with the original box and paperwork, they only go for about $500
>buy back
From whom ? .Most of them are essentially government stealing .And even if they are not , none of them bought those guns from the government ,
What's wrong with the gas block sight on that AR style rifle?
That's a Mossberg 715T Flat Top
No gas block, no gas system, it's a .22LR blowback design.
It has a rail along the top, so you can mount a scope, or use rail-mount iron sights. That gas block looking thing is basically just a mount for an extra bit of rail so you can use a front sight even if you swap the foregrip and lose the rail.
I thought it looked funny, the handguard and lower receiver as one piece was throwing me off as well. I bet that was counted as an "Assault Rifle"
I bet that was counted as an "Assault Rifle"
Removable mag plus a pistol grip makes it an "assault weapon" under our laws.
So, yes, that little .22 plinker with a 10rd mag is one of the "Assault Rifles" they're bragging about getting off the street.
The 3 "Assault rifles" are the Mini 14 looking thing in the top left, .22 Mossberg, and that keltec. The only loss is that Mini and maybe the Remington 700 with a bipod.

Two maybe 3
The biggest loss looks look like that Mini 14 based rifle on the top left.
Some really nice guns that’ll probably get destroyed :(
A slightly different angle of the same table.
Story if anyone is interested:https://www.syracuse.com/crime/2022/08/almost-300-guns-including-177-ghost-guns-received-in-utica-gun-buyback.html
As for the obvious toys:
The two square black guns at the very top right of the table are Daisy Marksman Repeater bb guns.
The big black revolver 1 up from the bottom left is a Crossman 357 bb gun, easy to confirm because you can see the rotary mag in front of the fake cylinder. The identical gun just to it's right, and the other one on the bottom right corner, are the same model.
Funniest part is that because toys don't have serials, they consider them ghost guns, and paid an extra $100 for each.
I support buy backs but that is next level incompetence if true. Aren't officers the ones collecting these? They can't tell the difference in person if you could by a photo?
Yes, officers are the ones collecting these.
No, they can't tell the difference, even after inspecting them personally.
Not even after they read the manufacturer (Daisy and Crossman are two of the best known BB gun makers), and note the caliber is .177
Man ya can't even have gel blasters in new york look at this https://silive.com/news/2022/07/nypd-touts-seizure-of-toy-gun-deemed-air-rifle-on-west-shore.html https://twitter.com/NYPD121Pct/status/1550629306686136320?t=wwngSyCO2kb2Whj-WoQbtw&s=19
Crossmans jumped off the photo for me, didn't notice the two Daisys in the top corner - even going back and looking they're not instantly recognisable to me as BBs. But yeah, ultimately it's not the SWAT marksman who handles the buy-back, and a lot of "cops" will see it's made of metal and it's stamped with words on the side and one of those words is even "calibre" so they claim they've done due diligence and removed it.
In fairness, it's worth the extra $1000 in bonuses they paid for a few fakes - to have a larger table to show the media.
The Daisys were really common BB guns back in the 80's and 90's, I instantly recognized that profile.
One of them is locked back showing there's no chamber/ejection port, which is what caught my eye in the first place.
All of these are made out of plastic (except for the barrel/springs/screws).
On the Crosman, the next words on that stamp say "pellet gun"
On the Daisy, the first words on that stamp are "BB"
There's no such thing as .177 cal ammunition, that's exclusive to bbs/pellets.
