Thank you, I appreciate the input.
I wrote this poem to relate to people so it is kept short and sweet, not really one to write for myself.
This poem is for those moments of happiness that come and go, I know the audience can place it for themselves.
I do want to work on longer poems, so thank you for the push, I'll even accept the challenge and rework/add to this poem.

It might just be a personal preference, but this poem to me feels like a part of a larger poem rather than a finished piece. I'm left wondering what caused the heart to feel so alive, what caused it to enjoy every beat--and while the emphasis just might be on the joy and the feeling itself, it doesn't feel as powerful to me as it could if we were given even just a little bit more description. I do really like what you have here so far, which is likely why I just want some more of it. I would maybe even recommend playing with it and adding more to this even just to experiment, it could even just offer some insight for even an additional line or few words that could bring even more life into this poem.
