Ideas for student project diorama
Hi! So I recently started studying in university of applied sciences social & healthcare. Now one of our courses has an assignement about "stories & fairy tales from your youth" and naturally first thing that came into my mind was LOTR books/movies.
Now the idea of the assignment is to tell an part of the story to an small group using any kinds of props/music/ideas so the storytell aspect is an big part of it.
What im asking here is help and ideas what models and short part of the LOTR universe would be fun to use in an project like this ( Naturally im on an student budget so I cannot go super wild on purchases, might need to hope for an ebay purchase ). First thing in mind that I had was to make Bridge of Khazad Dum and buy the Balrog, and do an storytell of that specific scene. But would love to hear other ideas what could be fun little stories / models for this kind of project ?

Something from The Hobbit might work pretty well in isolation from a bit of a fairy tale perspective. Bilbo and the Trolls, or Bilbo and Golumn might be good candidates? Nice, self contained little 'episodes' within the main story.
Alternatively maybe Sauron and Isildur? I'm trying to think of scenes that don't need 3 pages of context for a viewer to understand what's happening.
Thanks, yeah the assignement idea for duration is for presentation, so the duration is very flexible. And the self contained small stories are really the best, thanks for the Trolls suggestion <3 ( I pondered about doing an smaug bit, but for that I would probably get another dragon :D )
