Opinion: Flag stickers on panniers

We had this argument we hope people can help us settle.

If you have a bike, and you want to decorate it with some stickers of flags of the countries you have toured in, is the criteria:

1. Places you have been to with the motorcycle you are currently riding

Or...

2. Places that you have ridden in but not with your current motorcycle over your biking lifetime.

A pannier can give you a good idea of where people have been, and is always a interesting talking point of places in the world people have been to.

What do people think?

I am in the group of stick whatever you want on, it's your bike, but it would be nice to just find out what the consensus is.
