Do ballpython a need nighttime temp drops?

I’m getting a Herpstat and I’ve been thinking of this. The heating guide does not mention there needing to be a nighttime drop. But the heating post on the Facebook Not Just a Pet Rock group says the tank should be 80-85 at night. Substrate level is 91 for me, and 88 inside the hot hide, at all times. The cool side is always 78-81. Should those numbers be coming down at night? Does anyone on here do that?
