Honestly wish I could understand Spanish just to hear a broadcast or two. In the same way Vin was a time capsule I’m sure he was too

Sometimes, ya just gotta let the sounds take over and envelope you.

Is it just me or is he not getting the fanfare he deserves? I really wish I understood Spanish better cause it sounds like it's a real joy to listen to him.

I think he is. But it's hard when the majority of people love the Dodgers listen to the English broadcasts. Even Mexican American fans listen to Joe and Orel. I still listen to Jaime or Pepe to keep my Spanish sharp but I tend to lean toward Joe and Orel. It's just not on the same level as Vin unless you actually listened. He's a legend no matter what.

What a legend. I’m just sad that Vin wasn’t there for his retirement ceremony. I miss him.😢

Jaime would agree lol

I hope I am as astute and good looking as Jaime is if I make it to 86 years old.

Not sure anyone in the history of modern baseball is as underrated as Jarrin. Imagine doing what he's done and being overshadowed by your team's other announcer.

This man is a fucking legend and his accomplishments will never, ever be matched.

This dude makes 86 look like the new 68. I hope he enjoys retirement for a very long time :).

I know his name because Vin would say it every game in the 90’s and 2000’s. I wish I knew Spanish so I could enjoy his broadcasting.

If it wasn’t for work, I would have gone to the game 😢

I remember as a kid watching on TV in the late 70's / early 80's and every now & then they'd cut over to a shot of him in the broadcast booth doing his thing... and he's still doing it. We always hear about how fortunate we are that we had the 'holy trinity' of LA broadcasters (Vin, Chick and Bob Miller) but there's other guys who deserve to be mentioned along with them, and Jaime is one of them. Its absolutely insane to think that we basically have and have had a 2nd Vin Scully in our midst for all these many years who likely meant even more to some fans than Vin did, yet many of us are largely unaware of him or can't appreciate him fully due to a language barrier. Sadly I'm in the latter group but have huge respect for him.
