Taskrabbit like platforms?

Been here for around 3 years, I find more often than not I rely on word of mouth for handyman recommendations. It can range anywhere from AC installation, quick driving lesson for the license, cleaning services and sometimes consulting a lawyer (not exactly a handyman, but you get the idea)

Are there any trustworthy taskrabbit like services, preferably in English? There are been few services mentioned in the past here in Japanese, but Japanese sites most likely have had some etiquette involved that's not obvious to a gaijin like me. (speaking Japanese is not an issue). If there are foreigner-friendly Japanese services, please mention them too.

Even with English speaking handymen, there is a possibility of being conned. I've used 4 movers so far for moving different things - while 3 of them were great, one was not. They charged the highest, were rude and just dumped my furniture on the ground floor of my apartment complex. I had to ask a friend to help me get it to my apartment, but in the past all 3 movers did that. (I did confirm beforehand that they'll move door to door, but alas). Hence the word-of-mouth dependancy.

Here’s a Life Pro Tip:

If it’s marketed “for foreigners” it will always be a con. You will always pay 2-5 times more for the same service just because of the language used.

The only one I know is くらしのマーケット. It's not foreigner friendly, it works with an app that is 100% Japanese, and I have never found a worker there advertising in English.

There's also Craiglist, some people advertise their services there. Just watch out for your kidneys and other transplantable organs.
