About to transfer from the ER to a detox center. I’m actually looking forward to it. No more, I’ve suffered enough.

Been a long day in the ER. I was trying to taper at home but my my very last drink in the bottle (I was going out to get another one) resulted in me rushing to the bathroom where I violently threw up a lot of blood. That was when I knew that was my last bottle. Got driven to ER where I’ve been receiving IVs for magnesium, thiamin, sodium electrolytes and one med that coated my aching esophagus and stomach. Valium was also given. I feel better and am so grateful but I look forward to getting out of here in a few hours to the detox center where I can hopefully engage in the group meetings and counseling and such. I haven’t eaten in weeks, just living off vodka and Gatorade mixed. I was throwing up every morning and afternoon for months. My liver numbers are doubled over last year. It is more than time. Wish me luck.
