I know the folk you're talking about, and they're not JWs. I forget which specific stripe of Caribbean evangelical denomination they belong to, but it's one of them. I'm personally allergic to having faith shoved down throats, whether it's mine or anyone else's. I think they probably believe they're acting for the good of those around them, but the methodology is deeply questionable. I'm giving them a HEAPING amount of benefit of the doubt, and personally strongly disagree with it, but - yeah. I think they probably think they're trying to be helpful.
