Back off and assess whether they only come to you when they need something or if they see the friendship the way you do. 

My closest friends know I’ll drop off the face of the earth for a few days because of how I am, but we pick up conversation like nothing happened. Call it my depression, autism, or anxiety… whatever it is sometimes I just need to isolate and not talk to people for a while. 

However, if they only chat with you when it’s convenient for them or you notice a pattern that they only come to you to lean on.. that’s toxic and one sided. You’re better off giving them distance and accepting the outcome.


If this is someone you were hoping or start a relationship with I can tell you now your priorities are different and you aren’t very compatible outside light attraction.
