Has anyone ever told you "you text like you speak" or "when you text me I can hear how you'd say it"?

People say this to me and mean it as if it's some unique thing about me that they find to be mildly interesting or amusing. But how else would I text?? Isn't texting supposed to be like, the most casual form of written conversation? It makes me wonder how other people's texts differ from mine in that way, to the extend that would make someone want to bring it up as one of my quirks.
